Ages from 2-5 years old follow an age appropriate, daily routine and have weekly themes such as shapes, animals & seasons. Extramural afternoon activities are open to all youngsters on the Estate whether part of the De Wijnlanden Kids or not and are arranged on an ad hoc basis.
VINEYARD
At the center of the Estate is a 7 hectare (17+ acre) portion of land known as the “vineyard”. Up until 2020 this portion of land was a productive vineyard under the management of a local winemaker. In 2020 the Estate purchased this portion of land and is in the process of re-establishing the vineyard along with exciting new facilities as part of the Vineyard Master Plan.
LANDSCAPING
Indigenous flora, a well-established renosterveld, a working vineyard and olive groves are well established in our estate. A hard-working landscaping team make sure that the more formal curb-side plant and flower beds are well maintained. We have a series of dams that are used to irrigate some of the estate flora and we keep developing this infrastructure constantly. These elements gives De Wijnlanden a truly individual and beautiful appearance.
